Plaque Psoriasis Causing Discomfort?
Plaque psoriasis is prevalent in 2-3% of the population in the US and is characterized by raised red patches covered with a silvery-white buildup of dead skin cells. These plaques often appear on the elbows, knees, lower back, and can cause scalp psoriasis.
This pediatric study aims to evaluate the drug levels, effectiveness, and safety of the study drug in children aged 4 to 17 years with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The study includes two age groups: 12 to 17 years and 4 to 11 years. It has two parts: Part A will measure the drug levels to choose the best doses, and Part B will test the effectiveness and safety of these doses. There is also a 5-year long-term extension to observe the ongoing safety and tolerability of the drug in children who complete the initial study parts.
